Nose: Deep red with vibrant crimson hues, the nose features dark berry fruits with redcurrant and spearmint and a hint of pepper. The nose is enhanced by nutty nougat oak.
Palate: The long, rich and concentrated palate is layered with luscious redcurrant and blueberry in the mid palate with fruity sweetness giving length and roundness. The palate finishes with the Braydun Hill trademark dark chocolate and anise, enhanced by lifted black pepper. Voluptuous, velvety tannins provide superb balance and the fruit shows great elegance and poise.
The grapes were picked in mid-February 2015 from the Braydun Hill vineyard. The wine was matured in quality French and American oak and bottled at the end of October 2016.
